CASIO PRO TREK Smart

Before launching ViewRanger, please make sure your CASIO PRO TREK Smart watch is paired with your iPhone or Android smartphone and running the latest updates. Your CASIO smartwatch and Wear OS for Google app will guide you through the setup process. 

iPHONE: Get started with an iPhone paired to a Casio Pro Trek Smart
- Install the latest ViewRanger app from App Store onto your iPhone.
- On the watch, tap center Power button to go to App Menu.
- Select Play Store. Hit Search button. 
- Search for “ViewRanger” by voice or text.
- Install ViewRanger. After install, select Open.
- Allow Location permissions. 
- Log into your ViewRanger account.
- Swipe left or right to move between screens.
ANDROID: Get started with an Android phone paired to a Casio Pro Trek Smart
- Install the latest ViewRanger app from Google Play onto your Android smartphone.
- Log into your ViewRanger account.
- On the watch, tap center Power button to go to App Menu.
- Select Featured Apps. Tap ViewRanger.
- Install ViewRanger. After install, select Open.
- Allow Location permissions. Your ViewRanger account syncs to watch.
- Swipe left or right to move between screens.
How to find route guides
- Launch ViewRanger app on watch
- Go to Routes screen. Watch needs a WiFi or data connection to show unsaved Routes.
- Select Recents shows routes you have recently reviewed, downloaded, or created.
- Select Nearby to see routes within 1.5 kilometers or 1 mile of your current location.
- Select Downloaded for a list of route guides saved on the watch.
How to download route guides onto watch
Android Users:
- Launch ViewRanger app on Android smartphone.
- Find and download route guide onto phone.
- Launch ViewRanger app on watch.
- On your phone, tap Add to watch button. The ViewRanger app sends route guide (and optional offline maps) to watch.
- Once download, the route guide and maps are saved on the watch.
- Any routes saved on your watch are listed on the Routes page under Downloaded. Now, you can explore without a phone or data connection.
iPhone Users:
- Launch ViewRanger app on iPhone.
- Find, then view or download your route guide.
- Launch ViewRanger on watch.
- Swipe to Routes screen on watch. Select Recents. Recents shows routes you have recently viewed, downloaded, or created in your ViewRanger account. Note: Your watch needs to be connected to Wifi or your phone to download route and offline maps.
- Under Recents, select the route to download.
- Once downloaded, the route guide and offline maps are saved on the watch. Any routes saved on your watch are listed on the Routes page under Downloaded. Now, you can explore without a phone or data connection.
How to follow route guides
- Go Routes screen on watch. 
- Select Downloaded. Then select a route guide.
- Select Start.
- While following a route, you can consult 5 screens.
Track Screen: Start, pause, stop navigating.
Route Details Screen: See a compass arrow directing you to the start or next waypoint. View a waypoint list with turn-by-turn directions for the route guide. Note: Details vary by content publishers.
Map Screen: View your GPS location. View route guide on map. Zoom and pan maps. To zoom and pan maps, tap once on screen. Move around map as needed. Tap again to return to your GPS location. Then change Map Layers or swipe to another screen.
Track Stats Screen: View Duration, Distance, Total Ascent and Total Descent. 
Stats Screen: See GPS coordinates and elevation of your current GPS location.
- When done following a route, go to Track Screen. Select Stop. 
- View the summary of your Track. Scroll down and select Done. 
How to zoom maps and change map types
- Swipe to Map screen on watch.
- To zoom and pan maps, tap once on screen. 
- Use finger to pan, zoom or scroll as needed. Or, use top and bottom buttons on watch to zoom in and out. 
- Tap again to center map on your GPS location. 
- To change map type, select Map Layers. Select map type. You will see how the maps types you own and are compatible with the watch. 
How to save offline maps
- Swipe to Map screen on watch.
- Tap Map Layers button. Select map type you want to save.
- Tap Map Layer again. Select Download.
- Scroll, pan, zoom to the offline map area you want to download. Select Save.
- These selected maps are now saved onto your watch for offline use. 
How to record tracks without a phone
- Swipe to Record track on watch screen.
- Press Record button.
- Swipe to Map screen to see track on map.
- Swipe to Stats screen to view duration, speed, and elevation gain/loss.
- Swipe to Record screen to Stop or Pause track recording.
- To end track recording, tap Stop button. Review a summary of your track stats then select Finish. The saved track will sync to your ViewRanger account the next time the watch connects to your phone or the internet.
